Covid-19 - Important information regarding your stay.

In these unprecedented times, it has been necessary for me to take extra precautions following Government Guidelines. I apologise that it may require a little more work for you as a guest but I hope you appreciate that we are taking every effort to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Honeypot Cottage will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival. Frequently touched surfaces, handles etc will be disinfected.

There will be a box with coathangers, placemats, essential cleaning items, information book and visitor book etc placed in the cottage for your use. Please return everything in this box so it can be replaced with another box for the next guests. The same will be the case for the wicker basket with maps, DVDs, tourist leaflets. This way we can ensure that everything is left untouched for at least 72 hours.

There will be some items removed from the cottage such as perishable items and some soft furnishings, such as cushions and other decorative items. I would request that you don’t leave any leftover food in the cupboards or fridge.

Crockery and cutlery will all be clean on your arrival and it will be left up to your discretion if you want to wash any items yourself before you use them.

Please empty any bins using a tied up bin liner and put in to the appropriate bins outside.

Linen and towels will be provided (unless you would rather bring your own). However, the beds will not be made up and you will need to do that on your arrival. At the end of your stay, please remove your own linen from the beds and place it in a bag with towels, tea towels and anything else you have used in the cottage which will need washing. The mattress and pillow protectors will be changed between each stay.

If you would rather bring your own bedlinen, pillows and towels etc, then please let me know prior to your stay so I can remove any duvets, pillows etc from the cottage that you won’t need.

If you have guests visit you during your stay, we request that they stay in the garden area and only enter the cottage to use the facilities.

If you develop or a member of your party develops symptoms prior to your stay, you must follow the latest Government guidance in this respect and not travel under any circumstances. Please contact me so I can find alternative arrangements for your stay.

If you develop or a member of your party develops symptoms of Covid 19 during your stay, please follow Government guidance. Please let us know immediately so that we can take the action, which may require you to vacate the property before the end of your stay.

Similarly, if you develop or a member of your party develops symptoms within 14 days of your stay and a test confirms infection please let me know immediately to allow the necessary measures to be taken.

To allow time for the additional cleaning and for a period of time to lapse between guests being in the cottage, arrival time will be at 4pm and departure time at 9.30am.

I apologise for any inconvenience these changes may have made to your stay but hope you, nevertheless, you enjoy a very happy time in Honeypot Cottage, exploring the local area.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. A copy of these guidelines will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation.
